Primary BLOODHOUND SSC

Primary Engineer have worked with BLOODHOUND SSC to develop a series of interactive whiteboard resources to deliver BLOODHOUND SSC into the primary, secondary and special school classrooms. A complete STEM by Stealth approach to design technology incorporating practical mathematics, science and literacy.

Primary Engineer: Primary BLOODHOUND SSC

The project is designed to be delivered as a whole class activity (half a terms work), or it can be adapted as part of a club or engineering day.

A sample of the resource can be seen here; it comprises of 132 interactive pages, a pupil flipchart to create a pupil’s digital portfolio, 32 page printable pupil workbook, editable lesson plans and foreword by the Design and Technology Association. The resource will work on any interactive whiteboard.

Primary and Community Leagues

An optional competition element of the project is to enable small teams to work together to create a car powered by stored energy and timed over a set distance. The Primary League teams are comprised solely of primary children and the Community teams are mixed aged teams, secondary and adults, but must contain at least one primary pupil.
