Today, at the Autosport International 2012 show, Andy Green and the BLOODHOUND Engineers launched the Design and Manufacture work packages for their 1,000 mph /1,600 kph World Land Speed Record car.

The cream of UK motorsport engineering companies are being invited to take part in this unique global Project, and showcase their expertise by manufacturing the circa 3,000 bespoke components needed over the next 12 months to complete the world's ultimate racing car.

The BLOODHOUND Project aims to not only inspire the next generation of engineers, mathematicians and scientists but also promote UK manufacturing by inviting the best engineering businesses to help build the most powerful and complex
land vehicle ever devised.
