The BLOODHOUND Project has a new HQ in Bristolʼs docklands, right next door to SS Great Britain. The BLOODHOUND Technical Centre is where BLOODHOUND SSC will be constructed.

The design of BLOODHOUND SSC has undergone a thorough design development over the past 2 years. In this chart, we have captured the major changes that have occurred over this period, taking BLOODHOUND SSC from concept stage through to final design. Much of the exterior shape changes have been driven by the aerodynamic behaviour of each configuration predicted by the CFD team based at Swansea University.

BLOODHOUND educaton delivery drector, Dawn Fitt attended the National Final of the BLOODHOUND SSC Junior Engineer for Britain K’Nex Challenge , which took place at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford recently. Dawn was invited to judge the entries.

Rubber bands took the place of rocket boosters on Monday 15 June when the Year 6 girls of Redland High Junior School attempted to build their own versions of the Bloodhound supersonic car and race them across the playground!
