When: Wednesday 12 April at 9am and Tuesday 18 April 2017 at 1pm
Where: BLOODHOUND Technical Centre, Avonmouth, Bristol
The BLOODHOUND Team invites you to design, build and race your own Rocket Car as part in an exciting family workshop at our Technical Centre in Avonmouth, Bristol. The workshop is aimed at families with children aged 6 years and older.
The workshop starts with an interactive presentation on the science and engineering behind the jet and rocket powered BLOODHOUND SSC from our "Chief Inspirer", Rob Bennett. You'll then have a tour of the workshop, including the 1,000mph Car itself.
Next, your children will get down to the important job of designing their own Rocket Car racers. Crafted from blocks of foam, each car is cut to the shap and size your child chooses. Once each car is fitted with axles, wheels and eyelets on the underside to hold it on to the guide wire, everyone will head out to the car park to race their cars, where they will reach speeds of up to 55mph.
Refreshments for everyone and a goodie bag for each child is included in the ticket price of £15 per person (including parents and guardians - this is a family entertainment experience!). Children aged 5 and under are free.
