BLOODHOUND ROCKET CAR EXPERIENCE

Event News
Wednesday, 21 December, 2016

When: Wednesday 21 December 2016 and Thursday 29 December 2016 at 9am and 1pm

Where: BLOODHOUND Technical Centre, Avonmouth, Bristol

The Team invite you to design, build and race your own rocket car as part in an exciting family workshop at their Technical Centre in Avonmouth, Bristol. The workshop is aimed at families with children from 6 years and upwards.

Following an interactive presentation on the science and engineering behind the jet and rocket powered BLOODHOUND SSC and an interactive tour of the workshop, including the 1,000mph car its self, from our "Chief Inspirer", Rob Bennett, your children will get down to the important job of designing their own rocket car racers.

Crafted from blocks of foam, the model rocket cars come in all shapes and sizes and once fitted with axles, wheels and eyelets on the underside to hold the car on to the guide wire, the teams will head out to the car park for racing where they'll reach speeds of up to 55mph.

Refreshments and goodie bag is included in a cost of £15 per person (including parents and guardians - this is a family entertainment experience!), children five and under are free.
