Dermot Watson, Web Editor and technical liaison

I work with the team – generally through Nick Chapman, the Web Manager – to make sure that the website is up to date, looking good and working well. I’m employed by ETB (The Engineering and Technology Board) who are helping out with the BLOODHOUND project.

In addition to helping with the day-to-day issues – like making sure all BLOODHOUND news is published – I help the team by scheduling technical work with the IT team at ETB - as well as providing occasional advice - to make sure we make best use of the web for this great engineering adventure.

Before working at the ETB, I was employed as the editor of www.penguin.co.uk (Penguin books’ UK website). As part of the ‘Pearson Family’ I also worked on websites for companies such as FT.com, Rough Guides and Time Out as well as sitting on the Pearson Digital Strategy team.

When I’m not doing ‘webby stuff’ you can generally find me with a guitar in my hand playing with my band The Dials www.thedials.co.uk.
